Long Term Goals

Below is a list of long-term goals that I have been collecting and storing and eventually I would like to get them all done. These goals have no specific time-line implied.

1. Build a House- I dont mean physically build it myself (my sister and her boyfriend did that and they nearly went crazy) I mean design it and work with an architect and custom fit it to the what the needs of my family are. Really have a say into every detail and decision from floorplan to shingle color.

2. Travel the world- I actually have traveled a lot already but it’s definitely not close to 50% of the world. It’s probably not even 20%. I think i need at least 65% to really feel well traveled.

3. Write a book- I actually have not written much of anything in my life except for a few short stories in two different creative writing classes that I took. One in high school and one in college. I always enjoyed it and in my humble opinion felt like there were one or two little gems created. Whether or not that is true, i dont know… who cares. I want to write a book in the next fifty to seventy-five years. I already have a subject idea… forget it,
you can’t steal it.

4. Learn another language- Ok, I have a decent grasp on English. Nothing to write home about but I would also like to learn Japanese, German, Italian, and Spanish. Should be easy, right? Remember these are looooonggg term goals

5. Drive to Alaska- This is something that my wife and I have talked about a lot. I want to drive road-trip style from my home in Massachusetts through the U.S. and into Canada and back into the U.S. again. It would really be cool to get a sponser or something and then blog about the whole trip. Any takers?

6. Sell 100,000 copies of one record- I am currently in two bands that together equal a pretty much full-time job. I would like to get a bronze record someday.

To be continued…
