This series of images was taken over the last few months on the three-mile drive between my home in Greenfield, and Hallmark Institute of Photography. Some photos are from within my car, some are
taken from the roadside, but none were taken more than twenty feet from the street in which I travel everyday.
I chose a panoramic format to better represent each scene and more closely resemble the characteristics of sight. The typical format of most cameras constrains the observer to a specific subject, eliminating the periphery. This became an important part of each image.
Constantly looking at my surroundings made me see the seemingly mundane and ordinary backdrop with a different eye. My commute to and from Hallmark took on a more mystical and surreal perspective.
